An ex-library book from the Austin, Texas, Public Library purchased at the library’s outlet store, Recycled Reads. As such it shows the usual library markings (labels, tags, stamps, pockets, etc.) on the end pages, spine, and page edges. There is quite a bit of soiling/scuffing/scratching to the boards, bumping to the corners, some small tears and wrinkling to the top of the spine, and light yellowing of the pages. The bulk of the wear is to the boards and the end pages as the text itself appears to be un-marked. It is still very useful for reference and research. This book presents a family history of the Usener and related families who settled in the Houston area. According to the author, “My primary purpose was to find out and to record for posterity the reasons our ancestors left their homes, and to document family history as it parallels the growth of Houston and their adopted land—Texas.”
